Temperment of Black & White Clowns

I recently posted a thread to determine whether a black & white clown pair would get along with a single orange and white false perc (ocellaris). Since the consensus was that they would, if not immediately, eventually NOT get along. The Dominant female would pick on the "third wheel". A few people suggested that the black & white's are more aggressive than the standard orange & white ocellaris. I am trying to build a very non-aggressive tank, will black & white's harass timid fish? Would I be better off sticking with a pair of the orange & white false percs? I personally prefer the standard ones but my wife prefers the black & white. Any experience, knowledge, or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

What size was your mother-in-law's tank? I've only got a 60 so I'm not sure I should go for four clowns, it'd be a bit crowded. Did you happen to notice if the black & white clowns were more aggressive than the orange and white?
Thanks-

Corrado I have a pair of black and white percs.. I've had them for over a year and to other clowns they can be quite aggressive.. Mine are in a 50 gal right now and they get along with other fish no problem. When I first bought them I bought four and had them in a 24 gal when they were very small. When they paired up they started beating up the other two until I separated them. After several months went by and I upgraded to the 50 gal I tried to put them back to together and they went crazy.. So I separated them once again.

Re: Temperment of Black & White Clowns

Nanoreefbro, Thanks for your experience, that's good information to know. I believe I'll stick with just two false percs. The plan now is to get one black & white and one orange and white. I've read in a few places that since the two are the same species they'll get along fine. From what I understand they may actually pair up. That would be pretty neat. Thanks again.
