question about MH and zooxanthellae

my wife has mostly been brownish colored, but recently shes getting a little pale... im thinking i need to go ahead and buy some MH lighting to keep her zooxanthalle colony strong... you guys think 1 pendant light will be enough? how many watts? (its kinda tricky because when i mention this to her, she extends her polyps and stings me with then)

How big is the tank? The recommendation for halides is 1 bulb per 2 feet of surface area and depending on depth wll depend on wattage.

bout.... 2500 sq feet. depth is about 8 feet. she mostly hangs out in the computer area so it may only be necessary to light that area. oh wait... she goes to work too... is there some sort of 12v MH i can set up in her car?

DIY, cut a hole in the ceiling and cover with saran wrap. Let the sun shine in.

Well if she is loosing her zooxanthalle she will bleach... That might indicate a time to QT her as it may spread. If she still stings thats a good sign, I would treat with a warm bubble bath and soft lighting, then maybe she will get her zooxanthalle back a bit.

is there a particular bubble bath? i wanna be sure i dont get something that may make the situation worse (ie hydrochloric bubble bath)

By the sounds of the situation it may sound like she may need to be QT'd, call a local spa/QT area for a day of treatment and pampering.
