| Neon dottyback | Well, I'm heading out on another coral buying trip to a LFS an hour and a half away tomorrow. I am planning on seeing if they have any Shrooms because I badly want some more in the tank. There's only 3 and an Orange Ric in my tank right now. My brown button polyps haven't been opening up all the way for me. Water Params are good, but they only open 75% of the way. I have yet to figure that one out. I plan on picking up a small set of button polyps tomorrow and will see how they do. I am also going to see if they have any more Star Polyps. I want to get some of them going in the tank again. This will be the last time I attempt to get things going coral-wise in the 55 again. If these corals don't survive, I'm gonna just stick with what I have and convert my other Saltwater Tank (10 Gallon) to a 12 gallon Nanocube. I have seen them in operation at LFS's here and there and the corals seem to do so well in them! I will focus on raising corals in THAT tank and let the 55 just be a big FOWLR. I'll probably convert the 10g anyway since I'm starting to like them. ![]()

| Neon dottyback | Re: Coral road trip tomorrow Hey folks! Well, I got back alive and just got done acclimating! I picked up $173 worth of corals. The haul: 1 Ricordea rock (green rics), 1 Yellow Polyp Rock that is loaded, 1 Anthelia Rock, and one piece that is a small Tonga Branch and has a couple types of button polyps on it and some Brown Star Polyps at the top in a small group. The Ricordea Rock seems like it's the happiest of the bunch so far. I took a picture which is below. The others I will take pics of when they get used to the new surroundings-- if only my Scooter Blenny would stop crawling all over the new rock! Darn critter! ![]()
