| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: please help me leave the water in there. You don't want the RO membrane to dry out, and water in the other filters doesn't hurt anything. HOWEVER, when you make water again, be sure to let 4-5 gallons of product water go to waste, just in case any organics in the filters went "sour" and turned into H2S...that can happen in any closed "canister type filter"...

| Re: please help me You should leave the water in them as Boomer said and without a doubt throw away the first few gallons that are produced each time you use it, mine holds a little over a gallon in it so I dump 3 gallons on each start up to be safe and have not had a issue. |
