New Hydor pump looks HOT!

I want one! Take that Tunze!
http://www.hydor.it/inglese/koralia.htm
Not sure how accurate the $ are ...
Koralia 1 Turbo Pump 400 gph $22.68
Koralia 1 Turbo Pump 600 gph $27.72
Koralia 1 Turbo Pump 850 gph $31.86
Koralia 1 Turbo Pump 1200 gph $40.02

Hello,

The Koralia should be available at retail sometime in Jan/Feb 2007 at retailers like Drs. Foster & Smith, That Fish Place, Marine Depot, and many other retail locations, etc.

The Koralia is not recommended for stop/start wavemakers, but it will work well on speed control wavermakers.

Sincerely,

Hydor USA, Inc.

Re: New Hydor pump looks HOT!

Looks sweet!

I paid $100 bucks for a Tunze Nano 6045... 1200 gal/hr. The Hydor equivalent is $40.

You just have to love competition!

What happened to Aquarium systems with producing their own Maxi jet high flow pump??? Talk about a company not having foresight.

Very interesting design, and the price is great. However, I'm a firm believer in the old adage, "...you get what you pay for". It'll be interesting to see how these perform. Thanks for the link.
