star burst rose anemones,ILLEGAL??

:meeting: does any one know whether or not star burst rose anemones are illegal for sale..and why....ive heard this....just wondering if its true,i cant find them anymore...they were abundant in LFS and now only PRIVATE PARTIES have them

never heard anything about it. it might be just that you are using a common name to search for it, one of many problems with using common names is they change or just go away. what is the scientific name?

If your talking about the normal rose anemones ( bubble tip) The Lfs here used to get them in all the time but they havent for at least 6 months so i asked why they never have them. He said that it is now illegal to export them out of china, which is where they were coming from. He said they are dirt cheap there but there is no way to get them out of the country lol. He also added no one wants to risk it cuz you get caught once.... and only once in china.

Elmo sells them occasionally. Look for his thread. His tank is crammed full and apparently they split frequently. (assuming you are referring to RBTAs)
