Rhodactis Split

I just got this coral about a month ago from the lfs and it's already splitting! This makes me very happy becasue my clown's have really taken a liking to it as their accepted home. Anyone have any idea about how long it should take? It started abou 4 days ago.

very cool... I dont know how long it will take... Mine usually has a little foot like thing pop out the bottom by the base and than detache from the rest of the shroom.. Looks cool though

What a nice feeling it is to see your corals propagating!

I purchased a single green frilly mushroom four months ago and it has split into 8 separate parts so far. If I remember right... it usually took about a week to 10 days each time.

I have a feeling that my clowns have had a big influence on it deciding to split, they have just fallen in love with it and have completley abandoned my two other mushrooms that they loved before this one. I think that they have stressed it enough to get it going, maybe they just decided that they would like to each have their own!

have you ever tried propagating them yourself...its fairly simple....turn 1 into 5 ...e-z
