| Reef Lobster | Re: drip..drip..drip Dripping directly into the tank is fine. This is usually done at night to offset the lower PH the tank has after the photo period. The amount to drip will be determined by calcium usage in your tank. Keep an eye on your PH and calcium levels after you start dripping to determine your specific needs.

| Golden Moray | Re: drip..drip..drip Some people use a gallon jug with airline tied in a knot... I prefer IV tubing, since you have more precise control of the drip rate. |

| Neon dottyback | Re: drip..drip..drip I use the IV tubing also so I can regulate the drip as to how fast or slwo I want it. be sure to drip it into a higher flow area of your tank.

| Neon dottyback | Re: drip..drip..drip Robert, since you posted your drip container, I'll just share mine. I said I use the IV tubing which I do but my container is a use half gallon milk jug. I punch a hole near the bottom and stick the tubing there and drip away. LOL..

| Dragon Moderator ![]() | Re: drip..drip..drip The only thing that I would like to add to this thread is that if you are dripping your Kalk into the main display tank, it's best to drip as close to a power head as possible so that the effulent is dispersed as quickly as possible. If you're fish like attacking anything that falls into the tank thinking it's food then the kalk solution (very high pH) can seriously burn thier gills and intenstines. Try to find a way to avoid this at all costs.
