So, I need a new skimmer...

Hi again!

I'm hoping to stand the skimmer alongside the 33 gallon long tank that I'll be using as a refugium under the tank. Another option would be to hang it off the side. Some of the skimmers are supposed to stand in the sump. I'm afraid that will take up alot of room.

Will this work with the G3 or G4? Other skimmers?

I would go with a Ramora C or a CPR BakPak iy you need a hang on to save room in the sump

NONE of the ASM skimmers are designed for external use.

I have seen many hang ons used on fuge's to save room, as I mentioned, I would go with the Ramora or CPR Bak Pak, if you are going in the fuge, I would recommend ASM.

Hi Phil - I actually already have an AquaC Remora Pro, but since I'm upgrading to the 210, I'm afraid it's not enough...

sounds like you need to just start fresh....

the pro will not be enought for the 210,

you might need something like the aqua c Ev series.... i think the 400

i vote ASM all the way. the G4x is perfect for your tank size. i think you would be very happy with it.

Fish - Foxface, Yellow Tang, Mimic Tang, 2 Tomato Clowns, pair True Percula Clowns (and their 6 inch pastel green carpet), Mandarin, Scooter Blenny, Bartlett's Anthias, Royal Gramma, Pseudochromis Splendens. Blue/Gold Crocea Clam, Teardrop Squamosa Clam Coral favorites include: 2 Acanastreas, Pink Cynaria, Green Cynaria, Birdsnest, Trumpets, Red and Pink and Green Goniporas (3), Frogspawn (peach favorite), Fox Coral, Diploastrea, Blasto, 3 Fungia (orange, purple, and green) and many others.
