| Fire Coral | Retro Fit Metal Halide lighting system Question Hey everyone , I found a really good buy on a coralife metal halide pro 36" retro fit lighting system .. My question is , what do I need to do to make it work ? If it is just simply building a hood for the system to fit into that should be a piece of cake .. I just wanted to know cause if I buy a 24" system already to go the cheapest I found is $358 , I found the 36" retro fit system same system for $299 .. My tank is 30" long so I figure if I design the hood ( if that is what I gotta do ) I will just design the legs and all to fit on the tank :-) I think a little overhang of the light won't hurt anything ... Any ideas or help would be appreciated .. I would do more research but my eyes are going crossed looking at this screen .... Doug |

| Wannabe Guru ![]() | Re: Retro Fit Metal Halide lighting system Question I have a retro setup in my canopy but eventually ditched their reflector and bought a LumenArc reflector which allows me to have one MH bulb to cover my 30"x30" tank. Retro kits are usually considerably cheaper than hoods and a good choice if you have your own canopy.
