| Torch coral | Which Goes First? Ok I have a question... I am wondering when I do get my lights and are ready for anenome.. what should I get first.. anenome or clown fish? I am going to get a BTA when I do get one and a pair of mated perculas.. do introduce them at the same time or one before the other? if one before then other then which one first?

| Acropora ![]() | Re: Which Goes First? Norm, it is better to make sure you have a stable environment before you introduce an anemone. If it dies it will pollute the tank very quickly, very difficult to keep and remember they are mobile. A clown really does not need an anemone to live in or to breed.... just an FYI Yes I know you saw mine, it is cool but it was a risk I took and the sybiotic relationship is neat. Also some fish will either eat the anemone or die because of it. So plan ahead....

| Torch coral | Re: Which Goes First? I am not planning on adding one right now.. I was thinking ahead.. what would you get.. clown first? or anenome first? Right now the only fish I have is the Yellow Watchman and the Foxface Rabbittfish... unless the Cleaner Goby somehow makes an appearance.

| Acropora ![]() | Re: Which Goes First? Well if you want more fish in your tank now I would go get yourself a pair or tank raised clowns, if thats what you want. Once you are comfortable with how the tank is behaving then figure out which anemone you want and get it. Just my H20 cents

| Acropora ![]() | Re: Which Goes First? I agree with you Robert IF you buy a mated pair/established clowns that alreay know about anemones. If you buy juviniles that need to be paired then no worries they probably won't go to the anemone for some time anyway...
