| Limpet | seabae aneome I just got one the LFS and have two clown in the tank. Thought they both were enjoying it together and it turns out they were fighting over it. Now one stays in it and the other stay on the other side of the tank. Should I get another seabae for the other clown or take him out and put him in my other tank until he heals? |

| Totally back ![]() | Re: seabae aneome What size tank is it and are both the clowns the same size? It is pretty normal for juvenile clowns to fight until one becomes the dominant female, and even then the female will occasionally make sure the male knows who the woman in the tank is.

| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: seabae aneome Had the same thing happen with my Clarkie's and my LTA....its just like mps9506 said one will become dominant and larger and then eventually will let the other clown into the anemone this could take awhile (months). I would be cautious about two anemones in one tank, unless you have a very large tank, my LTA was 3 - 4 inches across when I bought it and now its over 12 inches and takes up allot of room in my 75 gal.

| Wannabe Guru ![]() | Re: seabae aneome Sebae anemones are some of the most difficult to keep long term and it's actually a good thing that both Clowns are not in it together as this can really stress and possibly kill an anemone that hasn't aclimated to the tank yet. Sebae's need a mature tank with intense lighting and strong indirect flow to survive long term and unfortunately it's very common to see these dyed and bleached and in such poor condition at the LFS...hope yours is in good condition.

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: seabae aneome But they're so PURTY with white tentacles and purple tips...too bad they're so unhealthy in that condition... rdz1, how about some info on your tank? How old is it? How is it lit? How is it set up? What are your water testing parameters? As already mentioned, sebaes are notoriously difficult to keep, (not impossible, just difficult) and require VERY intense lighting. Few have long-term success without metal halides, and long term, isn't just a few months, these animals can live for decades...
