where do you get zoanthids?

I love all the pics of zoanthids and have looked on line and like the price. My question is do your lfs's sell these? Do you all order these online and where?

all information helpful
thanks ahead of time

One of my favorite places to buy them from is >TheLogicalReef<

They are also a sponsor of this site! ~ even if they were not, I'd recommend them highly.

I get mine out of my LFS's frag tank.
Prices are pretty good too, between 5 & 15.

I love the looks of zoos but, honestly, I am way to nervous to get any. I have heard such horror stories. We have pets and one guy said his dog drank out of a bucket that had some in it and the dog got very sick and had to be rushed to the vet where he later died. Amazing though that so many people have them.

I would love to hear some of your guys experiences with them.

Gina,
To be honest, they are quickly becoming one of my favorite corals because of the many different color morphs and the ease of propogation. We do have 2 dogs (was 5) in our household and 2 cats and I certainly keep a close eye on absolutly everything that is going on when I handle or work with zoos. I think they are perfectly safe if you pay attention to what you are doing and conciously aware of your surroundings and the situation.

With my 15+ different color morphs, I am slowly purging most of my SPS and hope to have a zooanthid garden within the next couple of years...

Take er easy

hey for those prices, I need to get some thanks all. I'll go home and see how they will fair with my other creatures. If anyone wants to recommend any one in particular, please do!

Hey Scott,
Did you get your belay certificate? We climb also. Mark is more into it than me and has been doing it for about 23 years or so. He has been everywhere. He even helped to map out a trail at Seneca. It's in the book...The climbers Guide by Bill Webster.

Have to say I like climbing outdoors better than the gym though.

I got certified, even if it was 7 AM and my brain was a bit numb. Me and my GF are going tonight although I really want to do it outdoors. It sounds like Mark and I would get along real well, heck, you and I could probably trade some clinic stories as well...

Anyway, not to hijaack the thread

Take er easy
