ro/di water ????????

my ro water system broke down and i ordered a new one today but in the mean time i used purified water form great bear, it says is purified using ro method, i would need to top the water level off with this for about a week and i use 1 gal a day. do you think is ok ? the label on the water doesnt say how pure it is or anything like that just says "purified with RO"

Re: ro/di water ????????

It'll be alright. It's hard to say how pure it's going to be but it'll be better then tap water until you are able to fix your RO unit

Agree w/cougra. Better than tap at least. If you are really concerned test it. That would give you some idea anyway.

Re: ro/di water ????????

Another option would be distilled water. I would think there would be less worry about purity there. But like others have said, that RO water would be better than tap water.

Re: ro/di water ????????

Actually distilled water isn't a great option as a lot of the distilleries use copper coils to cool and condense the water again which could cause slight copper contaminations. Unless you know the source and how they condence the water again then RO/DI water is probably a safer option. Of course you can test the water with a TDS meter as well.

Re: ro/di water ????????

Oh good point, I'm use to the stuff done in glass so I didn't even think of the copper.

DO NOT USE DISTILLED use RO but got to test for TDS if there are traces of TDS go to LFS for RO/DI i'ts the best way
