What in your opinion is the best cleaner of this?

Snails, Crabs, Fish, Starfish?

Anything. Let me know.

Re: Best detritus cleaners?

Depends...brittle stars are indeed good, but so are nassarius snails. In fact, they are possibly the best scavenger for cleaning a sandbed. Hermits are good scavengers as well, but have a few "issues" as most of us know...PLUS, if you get crabs, Witty comes in and nukes your tank!!

The very best ditritus cleaners are a siphon, micron sock, carbon, and a skimmer Those will completely remove ditritus from your reef.

Once again Woodstock hits it on the head.
Also give votes to nassarius snails. I love those guys and they to lots of cleaning for me.

Ok Wood I've seen you mention this several times.....What "micron size" are we filtering at? And what brand do you prefer. I too need a better form of mechanical filtration and can easily fit a sock on the pipe into the sump.
