| Acropora ![]() | Lesson learned All, please be aware.... I was cleaning my tank the other day, specifically the top. There was a little water that had sat on the brace in the middle and some salt had accumulated there. So I got a towel, wet it and proceeded to wipe this residue off. Well the salt that had accumulated fell into the tank and on my purple rim cap, I did not notice it right away and it sat there. Well today the place where the salt fell the coral is white, small spot and I am sure it will recover but I will be much more careful from now on.

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: Lesson learned As a rule, CLEAN saltcreep won't hurt the tank if it falls in, but if it lands on a coral or other invert, it CAN burn it. I've just pushed it in the tank for many years, but am always conscious of where it lands.
