| Midas Blenny | Re: red sea calcium test i got the same test and i feel the same way LOL i just follow the directions i fill the sm tube with water then put it in the lg tube then squirt the solution (only draw enough to the line of the tube) in it while swirling it to mix then add the silver packed of purple sand (lol) then swirl to mix after that add one drop at a time of the 2nd solution til it turns blue, to me thats the tricky part dont know really what blue is so i just went with it til it turns blue then x the # of drops by 15. but i discover that once it turns blue it stays at the same shade no matter how many more drops you put after it turns blue so atlease this is not as confusing as far as what shade of blue to determine when to stop so watch the color as u put the drops in. good luck hope this info helps |

| Neon dottyback | Re: red sea calcium test I tried to use one while my salifert kit was on order and couldn't do it. Besides confusing I got way high readings. Like over 550 and I knew good and well my ca. was not near that high. I hated it and was so glad when my salifert kit got here. Sorry no tips, don't know if there are any...

| Neon dottyback | Re: red sea calcium test Salifert test kits are the best out there. They are easy to understand and easy to use. Acurate in their readings too.

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: red sea calcium test If you're looking for Salifert test kits, a good friend has a sale on them right now. $11./ each http://www.oceansaquariums.com/ http://www.cvreefers.org/showthread....4187#post54187 To get the sale price, you'll have to call him. His name is Noel, and let him know BoomerD sent you. (this is a reef club sale but he'll honor the price for customers I send him.) Of course, YOU have to pay shipping from Fresno.
