Also you could get a 6 line wrasse's or a 8-line, they will remove those nasty little buggers eventually, that is what this article said.
Thanks Mwrager! Karma to ya!! I'm VERY willing to remove them all!! I could put them in the quarantine tank with some nori i guess. I wonder how long it would take before the pyramids would die off?

I tried a six line wrasse for about one month. All he did was keep his stomach bulging with pods! Never touched a snail

I like the margarita snails for glass cleaning, and my astreas are great too, but slower. Both kinds go on the rocks. Right now I have 5 margaritas, and 7 astreas, I need to get some nass. and ceriths, about 10-15 of each, but otherwise my cleaner crew does fine. I found that the margarits also have a hard time righting themselves.

For the pyramid snails, I inspected my snails closely, but somehow missed the only one that was there. As soon as I noticed it, I think my potters noticed it too, because he ate it!

I've got 7 Turbos, 7 Margaritas, 7 Ceriths, and one lone Strombus. In addition, I've got over 50 Kehole Limpets that occur naturally in my tank, that's why I have so few of the others. Will be adding some Nassaurius (20) snails soon!

I went 'crabless' with this tank as well, so I searched for snails that would do different jobs. I have three types in my tank.

Astrea - good for film algae and hair algae on glass and rocks

Cerith - stir the sand and clean that yucky bit of glass right next to the sandbed that's so hard to clean.

Nassarius - stir the sand and eat leftover food and any dead critters.

I would add a conch but my tank isn't big enough to support one.

Each different snail does a slightly different thing. That's why a combination of species works so well.

I also have 2 Mexican Turbo's. They are clumsy and huge but they are eating machines.

Strombus snails do a pretty good job and they breed in my tank.

I usually get my snails from the LFS. When you consider the shipping, on line the prices are about the same.
