I just ordered these two beauties today from Clams Direct!!!
I cant wait for them to arrive!!!

I have a 4 inch Derasa now that is growing like A weed. I've had about 5 months and its added almost 3/4 of an inch of new growth to its shell. I may need a new home for this beast in a few years!!!
Just thought I'd share how I spent my money...

Nick

Nick Iwas waiting to see what the Teardrop Clams looked like. It look slike he had some trouble getting them to show their actual color. Their pictures are not good at all and they all look the same(which I am sure they are not, certainly not that brown red)

Not sure why he posted those pictures. Wit if you know Barry, you might want to give him a buzz.

The Teardrops are in the Rare species area.

Luis, I saw the teardrops, but I already have a brownish, red clam. I wanted a blue/green one....couldnt decide so I got both...
I would love to have blue/green teardrop.

well nick, all i can say is the 3.5" crocea was closer to 4.5"-5" and the 2" maxima was atleast 2.5". he told me he understates size so customers are not disappointed. i do know some vendors stretch the size a tad.

okay......I guess I'll have bigger clams.....
probably works out a lil better anyway, as I've read that smaller clams can be more difficult to keep.
