Talking 800 watts on a 55

well i did the change from vho to mh.went from 440watt vho to 2-400 watt 20k xm,s.....man are they BRIGHT . they are up high for acclimation ,at 14" so temp is not an issue yet( chiller in route).a little loss of the blue-purple color in the sps but that should change in time,,,i hope..lol...so now for growth...i did re-add a dsb i could not stand the daily chore of vacuming.oh well.only 1 fish so no bio load.

What are you going to do with the vho? I maybe in the market for one for a 55 gallon.

Thanks and congrats on the new lighting.

I would move your corals down to the sand for the time being until they adjust or slowing add photo time with the new MH's.

Congrats!
