Today's highlight of the day!

I hand fed my (Redsea Sailfin, Mimic, Blond Naso and the Sohal). That was so cool doing it. One of the Angels joined on the feast also. I will try to do this more often(without bumping into Zoanthids:-)

What mad me happier is that it is the first time I see my Naso eat, I sure dont want to lose him. He is awesome!

What was your highlight of the day?

PS: I am refering about yesterday:-)

My highlight of the day was this morning watching my sand bed erupt and my chiseltooth wrasse coming straight up out of the sand. That was cool!

Luis I am so glad your naso tang is eating!

My highlight would be the new rose anemone. Took several hours acclimating it into the temporary new tank, and this a.m., it looks like it was time well spent. No bubbles, but all tentacles extended, and looking wonderful. Now, if the little black T.R. Percula will only take the hint...

lol the highlight of my day was finally getting up the nerve to do the plumbing for my RO unit and getting water out of the pipes straight across 6 feet of air before decending to the floor that didn't really need to be mopped that badly before hand! lol

Next highlight will be when I finish stopping the million and one leaks from all over the unit! But at least there is water going through it at the moment

Montana I was so happy dude to see it happen, is not the money.

Even after a few days it is easy to get attached to these creatures, and it happens that this Naso is dang good looking.

Boomer Congrats on your rose!!!!!!!!! I had a Rose once and she was one of my babes. Sad thing was one morning when I saw her all tangled up in a MaxiJet:-(((( After the painful rescue she survived for about 3 weeks.

Cougra:-) I am getting ready to replace my RO unit, and I was thinking about doing the install myself. I think I better let Eric take care of it.

Gina you just gave me an idea, maybe I will do that for my wife this week:-)

Reefgeek that used to be one of my hobbies. What is the largest rocket you guys have launched?

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

The highlight of my day was having Curt (Curtswearing) and his wife Rachel over to my house for a while. It's great to be with the people you talk to on a daily basis. My daughter has been asking for them since they left - I guess they made a great impression on her.

ReefGeek - Awesome Av! My husband interned at NASA for 3 summers, and my father-in-law just retired from NASA after 36 years.

I just started thinking, I should probably talk about the reef related thing that happened today. Sadly though, I havent seen my tank since shortly after xmas and wont see it until the 18th! The wife gives me updates on the phone but its just not the same as being able to look at it. I think I need to set up a webcam.

Aww, Reef Geek.....not much longer before you get to see your baby again, and you wife . Here's some karma to help you make it until the 18th. Hopefully, the updates are exciting ones!

I cleaned out my skimmer and cleaned the pump. Put it back together and watched foam pour out like a pot of macaroni boiling over. Cup was filled with tea-colored skimmate in 3 minutes.

Travis I am sure the smell was pretty Yaki, as usual!

Well, hand feeding the tangs yesterday was awesome! I just got home a few minutes ago and I take a look at my reef and I see my 5 Evansi Anthias out in the open swimming. They have been hiding since last Monday, when they were introduced to the reef. I really thought they were dead by now. I fed the fish right away to see if they would eat, and short thereafter they went back into the rocks, but within eye sight this time.

Amazing how they survive, considering that Anthias is a fish that needs to be fed frequently and considering that they had just arrived from Bali last Monday. I sure hope they all make it. They are schooling and they stayed a tight bunch, until I fed the reef tank.

The Naso tang is a little busier searching for algae around the rocks. A really cool thing is to see the Mimic eat Algae from the sand. He actually scouts the sand and sifts through the Algae, I never knew Mimics did this.
