I sinned and put in a little jab to Sc4r3d. The point is this, and yes smokinreefer gets ten thumbs up, people don't care what you know until they know that you care. Let's not any one of us make the mistake of Sc4r3d, please.

Too bad for the fish and the salt water hobbiest in this case!

This seems to be a common practice in this part of the world, I can't tell you how many members from singapore we've had that stock the same way.

Even so, I think leoto is a troll, he is getting just what he wanted

Sounds more to me that he was ignorant. Won't know until he responds. You can catch more bees with honey than with vinegar and it would do more good for the fish to have him want to change his animal husbandry practices than to see those verbal attacks and adios, eh?

If he is a troll, he either won't, or won't until the bashing slows down, then he'll post something outrageous to get it going again.

Notice his join date was Dec of 2003, yet his first post wasn't until yesterday. This would suggest lurking for atleast 10 days...in which time he would see just what the response to his post would be, I stand by my earlier theory that he is a troll, the best defense against trolls, is to ignore them or provide polite advice and avoid flaming, I choose the former. Of course the good news is that RC will draw the trolls like flies to $#@#, and the sanctuary will discourage it...simply by the friendliness displayed here

sometimes it is better to shake your head in disbelief and wonder why anyone would be so rude. I only wish people were all as nice as the people around Rag, and RS.

Too bad there are so many bad apples over at RC.

While 'BBS Psychology' may be a bunch of hooey, I find it uncanny that you can tell (within a couple years anyway) the age of the individual posting.
ReefCentral seems to be dominated by young males between the ages of 15 to 21... or older guys that never grew up.
That's why I can't stand that website... and I'm glad there's other sites available like RS.
The sad part is that a nice hobbie like ours can attract a$$holes like them...

I will add that the original poster really isn't 'in the right' either, but I don't understand how anybody thinks that flaming them helps...

One of my first thoughts when I saw the pics was WOW!! nice healthy fish! Then I looked at the set-up, and thought,"Hmmm, this is a set-up!" I'll bet those pics were either taken at a LFS, wholesaler or if at someone's home, they have a larger tank that these were taken out of just for the pic to see who would get riled up." Strongly agree that it's a troll pic!

I do noticed in RC things are so different. Some of the members are looking for newbies and get at them the first chance they get.Years ago a common mistake was to have as many fish as you wallet could handle in one single small tank. That was the time in my opinion when the US aquarist probably killed the most fishes.

Does this sounds familiar?Looking back a bit this used to happens to a good number of us.So what did we do?Well it took many years later and a lot of books to educate ourselves regarding all fishkeeping techniques. My feeling about this aquarist from Hong Kong is that he/she has not done any home work.I blame also the LFS for providing no information on any of the livestock he sells to his customers. Thanks God those days are over around here!I hope.My 2 cents.VINA.
