ahaha, gina it will be the shortest tank chronicle ever.

i've secured a *gasp* free remora skimmer from a local club guy (sans pump, but i have an mj12 layin around)... just deciding on the tank/stand and lights.

i'll hopefully get the tank and fill it tomorrow when i do my water change on the main system... of course i have to decide between bofront or cube. i'm leaning bowfront.

you are gonna love carpets, but tank inhabitants might not. ive lost one for sure and another by surmising. but they are a very rewarding critter. i have 3 each over 12". and yes they will want to eat your hand, or any fish unfortunate to come into contact with it. they will even eat clowns without sufficient sllime coating. they are a true carnivore.

*Disclaimer*
i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Re: carpet anemone? need some advice from the carpet masters!

ok well, plans have changed... i talked to a few local guys about it... i'm gonna pass on the carpet, break down the freshwater that's just sitting, and make that a bta/clown tank instead. my buddies here are gonna help me get squared away... i'm going to use rock/water from my current tank as a starting point still, and get new lights, but after doing some research, i wasn't feeling the freshwater. just an update.

guys, thanks so much for your help with this!
