anyone want any wholesale saltwater fish or corals in socal?

Anyone interested in some fish at 10% above wholesale price in southern california? I have the ability to buy fish at wholesale, but I need to make it worth my while when I go out, due to all the gas. I am buying just for my personal tank.

Some examples of fish and prices. most between 3-5"s

Clown trigger $30
niger trigger $6.50
Undulated trigger $11
Volitan lion $18.99
Dogface puffer $18.99
Most small reef fish are under $10
Baby cat sharks $18
Shark eggs $13
etc......
Corals also, most under $25 and lot's for under $10
Cerith snails $.29 each and red leg hermits $.29 each

I'll be going down in about 1.5-2 weeks for more fish. Tell me what you are looking for and I'll get it for wholesale plus 10%, but you must pick up at my house in Lake Elsinore. for example clown trigger is $30 wholesale plus 10% would be $33, so this is what you pay. Let me know.

I can get freshwater also.

Welcom to RS!
Nice of you to offer.
Unfortunately (in this case) I am on the opposite side of the country.
Tell us something about your tank and post pics if you can.
We would love to see it.

Re: anyone want any wholesale saltwater fish or corals in socal?

I have an approx 300 gallon bowed corner tank that is 4 feet long on each flat side and about 3 feet high. it's fish only, but does have about 350 pounds of lava rock and about 25 pounds of live rock. I have a triple compartment advance aqua wet/dry running off 2 chambers of bioballs feeding through a 1400 gph pump. The rear drain compartment is also full of bio-balls. I am also running an FB300 fluidized bed and berlin xl turbo protein skimmer. For lighting I have 4 40 watt fluorescents, and 5 65 watt power compacts. I hope to get the live rock life to spread to the lava rock eventually. I'm also slowly purchasing fake corals. The tank currently has

3 niger triggers, 1 undulated trigger, 1 huma huma trigger, 1 female blue jaw trigger, 1 dogface puffer, 1 cat shark, 1 corey grouper, and 250 cleaner/ feeder snails.

Future additions will be a purple tang, a few sailfin tangs, some horseshow crabs, an angel, and 150 cleaner/feeder shrimp.

My future expansion tank will probably be about 1000 gallons for when all these fish grow up.

No pics yet, but I'll work on it.

I found an exporter and hope to be opening up my own wholesale fish business in the next six months, so my 1000 gallon tank can be a tax write off.

Re: anyone want any wholesale saltwater fish or corals in socal?

OK I need salt. due to the amonia and nitrite spike last night from adding 250 snails and lots of food to keep the snails from getting eaten. I can get a 150 gallon bucket of tropical salt for $21.00 each, but I need to buy five of them. Those I pick up in ontario, so if anyone needs any salt then hit me up with some gas money and it's yours. I'm not going to need 900 gallons worth of water changes all at once. I will buy them that way if I need to, but I'd prefer just 2 buckets.

koshercard did you want to say something?

Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!!

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!
