| Golden Moray | Re: help with micro bubbles i would try geting another baffel in there, right b4 the pump and very close to the bottem, make it so the water has to travel thur a small 1/4 gap underwater to get the pump. i should have used 1 more peace, all the way to the right, about 3/4's the size (up and down) of the last peace on the right. ![]() that would have made the water have to go up b4 geting to the pump, it still works good tho you might wanna be carefull with the sponges. I try to ster away from em,

| Reef Lobster | Re: help with micro bubbles is this a new setup? often microbubbles will be produced for a few days/weeks with new equipment. is your skimmer producing a lot of bubbles externally? sometimes bubble traps don't get them all.

| Reef Lobster | Re: help with micro bubbles ah. give it 4-5 days... if they haven't significantly stopped, then something's wrong... new equipment always does that. ![]()

| Tubeworm | Re: help with micro bubbles I would also look at turning off/on some equipment. Are the bubbles coming from the skimmer? Turn it off and see if they get better. If so you need to modify the skimmer/bubble trap. If the bubbles are coming from water falling over a baffle then you need to raise the water level downstream of the baffle. Basically experiment to see where they are coming from. If nothing else, you could always silicone your PVC joints to ensure that there are no air leaks. |

| Fire Coral | Re: help with micro bubbles stupid question, but why the vacume cleaner hose for the supply to the sump, that might be your problem. You see, from looking at those pics that water traveling at that rate of velocity in that pipe is churning. use vinyl tubing. |
