| Brunt of all Jokes~ ![]() | Halimeda Question(s) Last weekend I pulled a 2 gal pail full of halimeda from my display it smelled awfull, since removal I havent had to clean glass until today and skimmer production is way down. Question, is there a limit to amount per gallon? and if you have any does it stink? and if it stinks can it be good? Thanks Steve |

| Elegance coral | Re: Halimeda Question(s) I've got halimeda in my mantis tank... never noticed it smelling bad. I've pulled Xenia from my 75, you talk about a STINK! Whew! Tell ya what... next time I pull some halimeda from my mantis tank, I'll smell it. ![]()

| Elegance coral | Re: Halimeda Question(s) Well, I did it. ![]() Yuck! It does have a smell to it. Almost like a kind of chemical smell. It wasn't as bad as Xenia... but close. All I can say is ![]() I'm smelling stuff I pull out of the tank. ![]()

BoomerD that is helpfull and explains yet another mystery , yes my calcium does deplete quickly for the very few corals I have, thought I could fill out the tank a bit if I let it grow. Steve |
