Question Reef or Cube?

I am going to move the 30 gal cube off of the hard wood floors. I can either relocate the tank to another spot in the house or put Leo (my antennata lionfish) and the corals into the reef.

Should I put Leo in my reef or just relocate the cube and keep him in there??

Re: Reef or Cube?

Well,
Since your going to be upgrading to a larger system, then why not give Leo the 90?
I voted obviously to give him the Mansion!

Re: Reef or Cube?

Well I of course love Gina's idea but know that space is an issue.
I go with error on the safe side and keep him in the 30. I love leo and would hate for the carpet to get ahold of him. Perhaps you could add something else in with him if you are looking for more activity in the tank. Or were you trying to eliminate the 30 altogether?

Re: Reef or Cube?

I like the 30 cube and do not necessarily want to eliminate it. I will be moving it off of the hardwood floors... possibly in my bed room or in the living room... haven't decided yet.

Re: Reef or Cube?

I like booze's thinking on this one. Can you have a pair? That would be really cool.

Re: Reef or Cube?

I would like to get him a friend but I do not think they can be sexed.... and the 30 cube would be too small for them. It is the minimum size for one antennata.

Re: Reef or Cube?

hmmm.. if you are worried about the carpet... (i have no experience with them) I would keep him in the 30 cube.. Or move him into the 90 and get the new 5ft long Reef

Re: Reef or Cube?

i voted for thirty, everything i have read about them is that they can have trouble in the reefs and may get agressive like witty said.. and it would be a shame to see anythinghappen to leo.
