power compact bulbs

How long do you use them before replacement at 10 hours a day. Just wondering.

they do fade so if they are for corals you may want to replace sooner if just for you to see what witfull said.

I replace mine every six months. However, I use a 12 hour cycle for the actinic and 10 hour cycle for the 10,000K. I see a noticable difference when I switch bulbs.

Every 8 months~ I too see a significant difference once I replace them.

Ditto..Woody, Witty, Powder, Mempho...

Also keep in mind that as the bulbs fade they shift the light specturm which in some cases promotes the growth of unwanted algae...

About 6 months here when I was running just pc. Now I have Mh with pc so I may be able to wait a bit more.
Significant difference in the corals when I replaced the bulbs so keep an eye o the bulbs and replace if there is any question.
