Re: dying gargonia??

you have a non-phosythetic gorg. this means it must be fed. each polyp needs food or in that polyp dies. this is what i belive is happening. if you can target feed with cyclopeeze, oyster eggs or similar small meaty food.

over all it looks great~

Re: dying gargonia??

oh brother...hmmmm ive been putting in DT's photoplankton every two days ...i just started putting a bit cyclopeeze in everyday about a week ago....should i put something over the gorg when i feed to be sure he gets it, or will it be able to get it by me just putting the cycloppeeze in the tank when i feed...

Re: dying gorgonia??

phyto is worthless to gorgs. if you feed alot it will get some,,,just watch it,,if you see it grabbing some,,,great,,,target feeding buts concentrated amounts near it,,,increasing its chances of snagging goodies~

Re: dying gorgonia??

Not sure how big your piece is but, I have heard of people cutting the bottom off a liter coke bottle and placing it over the coral and putting food in from the top. Turn your ph's off also when you are target feeding.

Re: dying gorgonia??

its funny cause the whole reason why i started using the phyto is because i purchased the gorg...the LFS told me to get it, that its what they eat...how can i ever trust them now....?
