| Torch coral | Hatching Brine Shrimp I am interested in hatching live bbs for feedings and am looking at different ways of doing this. I would like anyone's feedback on this particular idea. Attached is the web site for an all inclusive small aquarium. Please render your thoughts on this idea. TIA http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...e+Also+Suggest Lin

| Bryozoan | Re: Hatching Brine Shrimp Actually you can invert a 2 litre soda bottle with the bottom end cut off on a 2x4 that has a hole drilled in it just large enough to keep the bottle upright.... The soda bottle cap becomes the base. Use an airpump with some airline tubing, add a 6 inch piece of rigid airline tubing on the end of that to keep it submerged with a little airstone on the end. No sense in making a big aquarium, it's just that much more expense and work. I set up three 2 litre bottle stations like this that I would rotate out. One was waiting to hatch, one was just hatched and the last one was being disinfected. Remember, baby brine shrimp are no longer nutritional after 24 hours post hatching. It's hard for home hobbyists to raise them to adulthood. You'll also need to grow phytoplankton or keep plenty of DT's on hand to feed the little buggers too.
