| Totally stoked dude ![]() | coralife 220 skimmer I got a new corallife protein skimmer for one of the display tanks at work, figuring I should give it a shot against the euroreef, and maybe encourage some sales of this skimmer. I had no expectations of the coralllife skimmer doing better or worse than the euroreef, considering the euroreef cost twice as much I didn't expect much. But having heard so many good reviews on the corallife I'm wondering if I setup the skimmer incoreectly or something. I find the height adjustment to be very touchy, I turn it about one notch (the little dots) and the water will adjust about 3-4 inches. Also it does not seem to produce very many microbubbles or a very solid foam column. It seems to me the pump almost seems undersized for the skimmer. I have played with the depth of the pump and length of the venturi tube, even took off the silencer and put a valve there. Still no dice. I've had it setup for about three months now, it's about to get replaced with the euroreef and sold as used. Any tips for adjusting this thing or maybe something major I looked over?
