Swapping sand bed?

About three weeks ago I put a sand bend in my 110. This weekend I am picking up the 125 RR that feel in to my lap. My question is it safe to move the sand bed or do I need to start over?

I would just move it, it hasn't been in the tank long enough to have completely matured yet anyway. I would suggest skimming off the first inch and putting that aside as it'll ahve the most bacteria present. Move the rest (rince it out between transfers) and then add the first part that you skimmed off back on top. You'll still need tokeep an eye on water parameters though because there will be some dieoff.

Ditto to Mechelle. Also, do not store any live sand in a deep bucket since the deeper layers will quickly suffocate and kill any living organisms.
