Are Pistol Shrimp Violent???

Hey guys, i recently grabbed a pistol shrimp b/c in all the books and online they seem to be peaceful and everyone only says that there real issue is if they do not have a symbiant. Well i have a yellow watchman goby and first off they have not even gone near eachother. The shrimp dug a burrow on the other end of the tank??
and also my cleaner shrimp has dissapeared, was i not supposed to keep them together???

pistol shrimp are aggressive towards other shrimp... usually in a large (100+) tank, you'd be fine, but in a smaller tank, which you may have, the pistol will kill most other shrimp. they don't have claws for nothing.

Its actually a Carribean Pistol Shrimp, so thats probably why they dont care about each other huh. Im an idiot, still a relative newbie and thats a newbie mistake. Well at least he looks pretty cool in there and he has taken on a relationship with a curley-Q anemone whch i have read they do sometimes as well.

Some pistol shrimps are not friendly at all. Some will even kill small fish.

awesome. well he's pretty small and seems to just been chillin in his hole now, if i notice and damamges on anyone i'll try and grab him. Thanks guys
