| Midas Blenny | How Often should I change my lamps I have a FOWLR tank. I just put in a brand new Coralife 50/50 T-12 lamp in my hood. How often should I plan on replacing my lamps ? Is there a guide line somewhere ? Thanks Bonnie

| Reef Lobster | Re: How Often should I change my lamps Being a fish only tank i would not be too concerned with changing the bulb as I would be if there was light dependant life in the tank. 1 year is a good base for a flouresent bulb, but you might get away with a bit longer than that. The only problem you may see is unwanted algae growth if the spectrum changes on an older bulb.

| Midas Blenny | Re: How Often should I change my lamps Thanks for your reply's. If I start adding corals, I'll need a whole new lighting arrangement anyhow. So, I won't worry for now. Bonnie
