what an absolute outstanding tank... I love it.. what is the purple coral, in the front-bottom? Great looking tank.

The larger deeper purple one is one of ORAs 'Torts'. The smaller reddish purple one is a Tyree Purple Monstor (sic) I recieved a couple years ago.

Did you ever find out what this is? i have one too. Mine comes out of the same hole EVERY night after the lights go out but is only 1/8" dia & a few inches long.

They are Ribbon Worms, more specifically Notospermus geniculatus, according to Fossa and Nilsen in their Modern Coral Reef Aquarium series, vol 3, pp: 92-3. They occur in Eastern Africa to The Maldives to The Great Barrier Reef. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of infromation about them available right now but I got rid of mine, along with the rock it called home, when I found out that SOME species of Ribbon Worms have been known to capture and eat sleeping fish.
