| Wannabe Guru ![]() | Re: Powder Blue Tang Are you keeping him in the QT for observation or preventative treatment ? In any case I would say a minimum of 4 weeks. How big is he ? He should be fine in the small confines for a short period of time.

I dont really know much about preventative treatment, so any imput would help as far as what to use and how. I'd say he's a little over 4". I took a peice of Live rock from the main tank and put it with him in the QT tank, and he started nibbling on the rock. he appearedto be a little bit 'calmer' after that. I've been putting .5ml of Selcon in the tank twice a day, once in the am and once in the pm, I do not have garlic. | |

| Wannabe Guru ![]() | Re: Powder Blue Tang How long was the PBT in the LFS and do they use copper in their fish only tanks ? I don't know how much benefit you'll get by adding Selcon to the water...IMO I would just soak Nori in the Selcon and then feed him. If he appears to be healthy active and eating well I would keep him in the QT for 4 weeks just to be sure and then add him to the display.
