I know it looks like he's about to rip the operculum right out of that snail and go to work , but it just coincidentally fell right in front of him

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

my hermits would always jump my snails so i got a six line wrasse that picked them off hehehe. now i'm stacked up on snails

I agree i had several Murders in my tank, and i call them murders. Those little pest of Blue leg crabs, they took out all my cleaning crew about 25 nails,and other crabs. And they did it twice within a 3 week period. I'm so fed up with that i decide to have a special tank only for breathing snails and more gentil crustatious. You can read it at that thread A spawning tank
