Well, I have three hermits that haven't done anything to be banished yet and I have had them for over a year now.
I will be hermit free though in my pony tank when I get it set up. That probably doesn't count though.

When I stocked my 40 hex I put 10 crabs and about 15 snails in. When i went to move everything to my 110. NO snails and crabs with really nice shells. Little B******s. I will never have Crabs again (

Completly agree, it is our responsability to choose habitants wisely. We do not call dogs evil but they bite, the same way crabs do crab things. They do it out of instict and based on years of evolution. Humans cannot say the same thing about ourselves, some people are just evil and selfish just because.

I am crab free because I choose to, not because the crabs are evil.

After I removed three crabs from the 55 All kinds of life is popping up on the LR. I see feathers ,cup corals, worms and some pretty red Macro algae. Nothing for a year, crabs gone, and then all of a sudden.

I get a kick out of all you crab haters . Not that I disagree with you but its just funny . Personaly I like them . I have at least 100 small hermits and 5 or 6 emaralds . I also have a large snail population .

Ya know... If crabs grew HUGE, I do not think I would be as fond of swimming in the ocean. Could you imagine a 6 foot long human-eating crab???

there was no Epiphany, but after years and years, story after story,exploits and mayhem (yes in my tanks as well) one day CAE popped out and onto a Post. since then, its something i have become more and more vocal about.

this is correct, i pointed this out in Crab Manifesto they are following natural instinct,,,its our (my) perception of this as something bad happening in my tank.
