| Sunshine Reefer   | Re: Crabs Are Evil Society I never said you can't have crabs. I simply said I don't. I have never had an arrow crab but all crabs are opportunistic feeders and will eat whatever they can get. I prefer to avoid it.

I didnt mean anything by it, I just hate Hermits with every ounce of my lifebeing but didnt want to seem like a traitor if I offered a story and asked for membership I meant in the tone of the thread, honestly.

Started to post some links to some vids of mantis shrimp taking down some crabs, then decided it might be a bit graphic.... |

| Sunshine Reefer | Re: Crabs Are Evil Society The ironic thing about me not having crabs in my tanks is that the kids bringing home hermit crabs from the beach is what caused the set-up of my first tank. Witfull has told me that is further proof that crabs are evil since the hobby they started has emptied my bank account.  I wasn't picking on you Urville. Honest. I thought I was coming off as hating crabs when really they are just doing what comes naturally so I choose not to have them.

| Acropora | Re: Crabs Are Evil Society didn't read all the posts but people with problems with emeralds do/did you ever supplement feed them? I've never kept emeralds before and after my peppermints started eating a carpet I had I am very wary of claws in any size. My emeralds have only attacked one snail that the skunk cleaner was already attacking. They feed on algae 24/7 but I still spot feed them every other day and they haven't messed with anything in the tank. I really am nervous about clawed creatures. Wondering if the supplemental feeding should keep them sedated. |

| WOLVERINE~  | Re: Crabs Are Evil Society crabs are evil, shrimp are thieves~ i control nutrient input carefully in my tank, so i dont have algae growing so no need for the crusty demons. sometimes i think shrimp are worse cause they steal food from corals to the point of tearing them or pestering them til they regugitate. to me its more harmful to the tank to have them and to try and feed them.

It only grows to 3/4". I have Never seen it do anything harmful to ANY of my tank inhabitants. So yeah Witty I ate em all but this guy-Dave |
