| Star Polyps | turbo snails...alive or dead? How do you tell? I ordered a bunch off line and everything else in the package was alive. I got 15 hermies, 10 black snails and 30 turbo snails. They have their little "foot" sticking out, but no movement for an hour.

| Reef Lobster | Re: turbo snails...alive or dead? i had a turbo snail sit in my 58 without moving an inch for 11 days. i thought it was dead, but lo and behold, it wasn't! give em some time, shipping is stressful, and snails are delicate... how did you acclimate? a way to tell (not foolproof) place it in normal (foot down) position on a rock. then wait about an hour. if you go back and try to move it, and the snail offers resistance, ie. you can't move it, it's alive.

| Star Polyps | Re: turbo snails...alive or dead? I did the drip system into a plastic container for about a half hour. then placed them all on a rock foot down in the tank. turbos are the only ones not moving, the rest are eating away.

| Reef Lobster | Re: turbo snails...alive or dead? i'd give em overnight... if they're not sticking to the rock in the morning, they're probably goners... but again, i'm not sure... maybe call the place you ordered from?

| Star Polyps | Re: turbo snails...alive or dead? sniffed em.....no foul odor. Hopefully that is a good sign, bottom of the feet are white, i am assuming they are just sensitive.
