| Torch coral ![]() | Problems with my ASM G3 Sedra 5000 Pump Problem: Well the subject pretty much says it all. I was laying there watching tv this morning and I noticed that the sedra pump on my ASM G3 skimmer is powering on and off. It will run for 3-4 minutes and then turns off for 3-4 minutes. Then it comes back on and repeats the cycle. Info: I took it a part and cleaned it before I set it up 2 weeks ago. I have not noticed any problems with it till today. I cleaned it again today to make sure the impeller was not stuck. I tried a couple different outlets and ruled out that as the cause of the problem. I do not see any signs of wear on the impeller, or anything else that may be causing the problem. I tried to wiggle the power cord to see if that was the problem. I have checked the cord for problems, and did not see any. History: The skimmer is probably 4 years old though it has only been used for a year or two. Suggestions? I can not think of anything else to do. Does anyone have any other thoughts? Thanks for the help.
