Re: dts oyster eggs

I just bought some a few days ago but have not fed it yet.

I plan feeding a few times per week.... I will turn off the pumps, feed the fish and shrimp well, then spot feed certain LPS corals. I'll know more in a few weeks after using it.

Re: dts oyster eggs

I have been feeding it for 3 months now and it rocks, my corals look great and the Sps corals are growing fast than ever before, it made the Lps in my tank look more colorful too. I would watch out though if you have any softies in the tank, they will grow way fast!!!!!!!
The only set back is they don't give you all the info. on this product as far as feeding......little is better, I was following the directions and I would get cyno (Red Slime) constantly, I couldn’t figure it out. I decided to go to DT's website one day and Yep!!! that was my problem. I only feed an 1/8 tsp. every other day of the eggs. and I feed 4 tsp. of the DT's phyto on alternating day.
I hope this helps.

I know the stuff is kinda expensive but if you are like me, anything for my reef. I will just keep eating Romen noodles & pop corn. LOL

Re: dts oyster eggs

Here is a quote from an add....link is below also....I need to find some to try, right now I'm using Phyto, Zoo and Marine Snow....

These eggs are 40 to 50 microns in size. There are about 3,000,000 eggs per ml. Just one 1ml (1/5 tsp) will feed a heavily populated 50-75 gallon tank. Great for SPS coral polyps, especially acroporas. The eggs contain lots of Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA essential to your coral’s health. This is an excellent zooplankton substitute.
