Baby Ric after Outage Crash...Ric experts??

This is the baby Ricordea, the ONLY remnant of ANY mushroom in my whole 55 that survived the 4 day power outage. It has developed those balls on the outer edges in the past few days and LOOKS like it is growing. But, I am far from a Ricordea expert. Think it's gonna survive? Good sign? (Feather dusters are popping up too)

... and for good measure, I owe it to the largest of the survivors of the 55 degree ocean freeze, Hermy, to post his picture.

So, let me know what you think about the Ricordea........ Thanks in advance for being there for me!

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

symbiotic zoex algae??

Oh, you mean the algae that lives inside most corals that help it grow. I get ya now.

Time will tell what this one does.

I just looked at it with the lights off for the night. It closes up like the bigger ones did at night.

Re: Baby Ric after Outage Crash...Ric experts??

Thank you, Kim!!!

It's still a little depressing to look at the tank with the hair algae on the rocks. But, I know the tank will come back into it's own sometime.

On the plus side, the Ric looks like it is still growing and it's even started to turn a little orange in color...
