| Torch coral ![]() | Re: Snails...whats good? I am fresh out of ideas. Just kidding. I would stay away from turbo snails, as they will get big and are pretty clumsy. Astrea's are a little better, and are cheaper. I have no other snail experience to talk about. Someone will speak up and help you out more though. ![]()

I have a bunch of Bumble bee's, Nassarius, Astrea and a few Cerith and only a couple Turbo's in each tank....I have had no poblems with this combination. I would recommend only one or two Turbo's if you go that route, as Icebox said they are fairly clumsy ( I am always turning one back over) and you don't want them dieing off in your tank plus when they get big, they tend to push things around.

| Midas Blenny ![]() | Re: Snails...whats good? Astreas are the best. I have 4 and they are so fast and I barely have a spot of algae. You don't have to flip them over either.

| WOLVERINE~ ![]() | Re: Snails...whats good? try nerites,,,,they love the glass, but bont like the rocks,,,truchus are a good one for rocks,,as are small turbo's,,,,you can always trade them in when they get bigger for small ones.

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: Snails...whats good? Nassarius for the sand bed, ceriths, nerites, and astreas for the glass and other surfaces. Avoid the turbos. Most come from cooler waters, and besides being bulldozers and knocking frags over, they generally don't live as long in our tanks. I agree that stomatellas are one of the best snail available. They will reproduce in your tank, and are always on the prowl for algae...after the lights go out...
