Prizm Skimmer Fix

Hey all,
I would like to get more gunk out of my Prizm skimmer by attaching a air pump.

Has anyone done this and can you explain how you did it? And what were your results.

ive seen a thread somewhere where a guy took a 6 inch piece of pipe and attached it where the collection cup fits on to extend the reaction chamber he said it allowed him to run the skimmer wide open and really made an improvement

I would love to run it all out, but the bubbler is barely working as it is, so I thought i would force air for bubble.

Doesn't really matter what you do, they're just not good skimmers. You MIGHT improve the efficiency a bit, but only a little...

My first Skimmer was a Prizm. I improved it by replacing it with an Aqua C Remora. It works much better now.
