Marine Biologists Work To Protect Seahorses By Developing A Breeding Program Marine biologists, worried that regular harvesting of wild seahorses may threaten the creature with extinction, have begun breeding them in home aquariums. Caring for seahorses requires a three-step water filtration process, three feedings a day, and careful temperature and water chemistry monitoring.

I had no idea it was that serious, we should all do our best to buy captive bred fish or this could happen to more species of fish.

I had no idea either.
I also agree about the captive bread fish, I wish they were more readily available and distinguishable as captive bread. You almost never know for sure.
