Just got a laugh out of when he asked what the 4x4s were attached to and you said the 2x4s lol...must just be early in the morning

earlier in the thread when you were talking about having a extra tank for species tank(not sure if you were joking).....could always go brackish, since you have the salt anyways. There are some pretty neat critters you can keep, I had one for the longest time.

Oh yeah, could you explain in more detail what you were talking about with your reactor having cooling channels? Would like to see some pics! Ive always used the sintered glass diffusers and they seem to work pretty good.

I have always wanted brackish, and came very close to it many times. I am doing some math on this new system and the overhaul of the reef ( coming up, right after the FW is done ) and I don't need any more tanks due to money but I really like that idea.

The reactor having cooling chambers ( feel so smart typing that ). I don't remember cooling chambers, let me look and I will edit this post with explanation.

Oh, Ok. From post 85 on page 6.
I was explaining the CO2 reactor and compared it to the cooling channels in the steel molds they use to make plastic parts.

The CO2 system was ordered. The one part will be drop shipped from MI and the other from the supplier.

I got some work done on the stand last night. I didn't bring my camera but I took a pic on my phone...
I do not have the cable to load pics onto my computer so I will photograph the phone screen... brace yourself for bad quality getting worse.

You can see the maple on the side, for a better idea of what you are looking at see post #61 on page 5. In that post you will be looking at opposite side as the photo below but they are the same. The easiest similarity ( maybe wrong word because they are the same ) is the 3 vertical maple boards.

Going to be a nice looking stand when your done. What size co2 tank you go with and what brand regulator/solenoid?

5lb brand new aluminum tank ( buying, not renting. I found a place that fills wile you wait too ) with a Milwaukee Instruments regulator with needle and solenoid valve and a Milwaukee PH controller ( SMS122 ).

Yeah, I've had the SMS122 running for several years and its pretty reliable. I just take my tank to the place and they swap it out for a new one for like 15$.(5lb.) If you own it you have to pay to get it re-certified every year right?
