...speaking of color the hinges and handels ( appear as knobs in pics as those are easier to draw) will be something like this; ( I don't at all intend on getting the cantaloupe texture )

The front half of the top and the front of the hood will be hinged and move up as one.

So it will move UP as one unit but the front will also open without having to raise the whole hood?

I bought all my wood ( 21 pieces total ). Steve will be busy for awhile but I will get the sand and hood build asap. Once I/we begin on those I will take down the 29g. the loach and plants will temporally move to a 5.5g I set up last night and the light will fallow.
