Re: PEMs Freshwater Planted 65G build

Things left to do;
Get fans for the light
Get the CO2 system up and going
Rinse the gravel
Finish finishing the hood ( polyurethane )
Replace the timers ( getting noisy )
Get covers on the two timer over ride switches
Get a black sleeve on the PH meter

Its just a bunch of little stuff.

Re: PEMs Freshwater Planted 65G build

As for fans what ever they have when I go to buy some. I'm looking at size more than voltage. Itd be nice and easy to install 110 ones.

My stocking list is as fallows;
30 Rummy nose tetras
3 corys
2 Torpedo barbs
Cost will be about $140. I love my employee discount.

The discount is the best thing about working at the fish store

Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!!

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!
