Re: tranquilité renversante 65g planted

I was thinking of changing it, but have not thought of one yet.

Re: PEMs Freshwater Planted 65G build

Ordered it today. Will be there tomorrow. But I can;t pick it up till a week from Wednesday due to my pay cycle...

I am really nervous. I feel like I may have made the wrong choice, a longer upgrade would be nice. IDk, I will like it though.

Re: PEMs Freshwater Planted 65G build

Without changing the way it looks, I made an adjustment to the stand design. I will be able to to unscrew some from boards and frame components, cut the in half, then build a new middle section, screw it all back together, and I have a longer stand for a upgrade.

This change originally was a very drastic one, with a seem running down the middle front. It just unbolted and was ready for the middle section to be bolted in. I want to find a happy medium...

Re: PEMs Freshwater Planted 65G build

PEM, I love South American setups! I think, however, that you should reconsider the angelfish/neon tetra combination. I had a 20 gal planted tank with 12 neons and 6 corydoras sterbai. Everything was honky-dory until I added three quarter sized angels and all my neons became snacks for them. I've had those neons for a while and so was not happy about losing them . And those angels grew from quarter sized to 4 inches top to bottom within the space of a month ! Those angels were beautiful, but it was bye bye angels for me!

Re: PEMs Freshwater Planted 65G build

My angel loved neons! Well as a snack any ways. I switched over to cardinal tetras. Same kind of look but the cardinals where much bigger. I love the look of 15 of them swimming past the front of the tank.

Also when the angels decided to breed it always looked funny and see 2 angels swimming peacefully in the center of the tank and then look over to the right and see every other fish in the tank smashed up to the glass in fear of the angels seeing them.

Good luck, I miss my planted. Right now I have loaches that will not allow anything to stay in the sand for long.

TOMORROW!

That was by no means a stock list. It was some examples of SA fish.

No problem Frankie, I'm on it.
